lada 110/111/112
Hello. My name is Peter and I live in Greece. I currently own a lada 2105 but i'm considering to buy a new car. So I would like some information about the lada 110 and 112, handling, fuel economy, reliability.
Here in Greece we have the lada 110/111/112 with the 1.5 16v engine. We don't have the lada kalina or lada priora. Sorry about the English language.
Thank you!

Re: lada 110/111/112
Hello Peter
I own a Lada 110 with 1.5 8v engine, not the 16v. Handling is good (not a rally car of course). Accelerations are good with the 8v engine so the 16v should be even beter ! Brakes are powerful enough for the 8v, maybe a little too weak for the 16v, but not a problem if you drive slowly (below speed limit ). The main problem (if I can call that a problem) is that when you turn at high speed, the car is relatively not stable (not dangerous but a bit surprising the first time you drive it). But it's always beter than an old 2105 ! Also for the fuel economy. My 110 needs 7 liters to run 100 km. 16v engine should not consume much more.
Reliability now ... My 110 never had any big problems, but there is sometimes very little things that go wrong. Maybe you know that with your 2105 too. But the engine always start at the first try, even if it's cold outside.
Finally I'm very proud of my Lada 110 so I think you'll make a good choice if you choose this car.

Hello,
I own a 111 16 v and a 112 8 v.
Lada's car with 16v brings:
- Driving : More power, speed and flexibility.
- "Power steering" I don't know if the translation is good : In french "Direction assistée".
- More power for engine windows .

Re: lada 110/111/112
Hello again
Thank's for the information. So the reliability is as good as the 2105's. The fuel economy conserns driving it the city or at the highway? 7litr/100km is very good, much better than my 2105's consumption.
And a last question, are the parts as cheap as the 2105? Do they share any same mechanical/electrical components?
Thank you

Re: lada 110/111/112
Hello,
There are very few parts common to both the 2105 and the 110. I wonder if there is any ... Maybe the light bulbs and some screws But the Samara (2108/2109) share a lot of components with the 110.
Parts are relatively cheap (I don't know compared to the 2105) but we can have huge differences between the price here and the price in Russia (parts in Russia are cheaper, sometimes it's more interresting to buy parts directly in Russia via sites like ladaparts.ru/store - you can have a look at the prices). I don't know if this problem with prices is the same in Greece. Hope for you it isn't so you can buy directly from the local dealer...
7ltrs/100km is for approx. 60% highway / 40% city (now with the cold weather it's more something like 7.4 ~ 7.5 ltrs/100km). I never consummed more than 8 liters ! The 110 have good aerodynamics and it have a light weight compared to it's size (exactly 1000 kg) so it helps a lot for low consumption.

Re: lada 110/111/112
Hello,
- With my 111 16 V, for approximately 50% in cities and 50% campaign, my consumption is about 9 l of gasoline or 11 l of LPG.
- Parts of 110/111/112 are much more expensive than those of 2104/2105. But they are, however, cheaper than those for Asian or French cars.
- In France, if you buy directly in Russia, you have parts at half price.
At http://ladaparts.ru/shop/index.php prices are in $.
The exchange rate Euro/Dollars is very favorable for Europeans.

Re: lada 110/111/112
Hello again and Merry Christmas to everybody! I'm starting to look in the market for a 110 or 111 Unfortunately here in Greece they don't sell many, only the Lada Niva sells a lot. Now how is the handling and brakes on the 110-111? Can i cruise fast and safely on motorways and small roads on mountains? The 2105 i have is quite slow....

Re: lada 110/111/112
Merry Christmas for you too
I use my 111 every day to go to work and to travel during the holidays.
The brakes have no electrical or hydraulic assistance, it is a little hard.
You must strongly press on the pedal.
On the Highway you can drive fast, without security problem.... If you keep a good distance of security..
In winter I bring my family in the mountains for ski , I never had a problem.
